I don't usually go to bars, but the Doberman is hosting Mahjong Mondays for the month of February and I love mahjong. I went with friends and we had a blast! This used to be Artifice, and, according to my friend, it looks totally different in its new incarnation. I love the whole vibe and decor; very old- school. We sat in a booth with a mahjong set all ready to go. Our server,Taylor, was great. I did inquire whether we could take photos as I had seen a sign at the front saying that photos were not allowed. She said that it was okay that night, probably because of the mahjong event. Of course
We were so lucky yesterday to spend our afternoon at the most incredible bar I have seen in a long time, here in the US. This place has a soul and if it might not be eceybody's taste, well...the owners have taste there, a real gift to create an atmosphere, and a unique one. It is like a giant cabinet de curiosites! The decor, the music, the cocktails, the (omg) fingerfood AND the smiley staff (with a special applause to the mixologist:)) To sum up, the Doberman Drawing Room is just an explosion of sensations for all your senseS! It’s not often that I encounter exemplary customer service, but my visit to The Doberman last night truly stood out. Andrea, my server, was attentive and made our connection feel genuine right from the start. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she shared recommendations with enthusiasm that made the experience even more delightful.
